How much biotin and collagen is in a serving?
Each 2ml serving (40 drops) gives 20,000mcg of biotin, 30,000mcg (30mg) of hydrolysed collagen peptides types I and III, and 25,000mcg of ConcenTrace trace minerals. The 75,000mcg on the front of the bottle is those three added together, not the biotin alone.
What does the biotin do?
Biotin contributes to the maintenance of normal hair, normal skin and normal mucous membranes. One serving of Ionic Biotin + Collagen gives far more than the 50mcg daily reference intake, so there's no need for a second biotin product alongside it.
Is 30mg of collagen enough to make a difference?
It's a small amount: collagen powders usually provide several grams per serving, and collagen has no authorised health claim in the UK. Think of this as a biotin liquid with a little collagen added; if collagen is what you're after, a powder such as Trec Collagen Anti-Age suits better.
How do I take it?
Shake the bottle and take 2ml (0.4 tsp) once a day, straight from the dropper or stirred into juice or food. The 59ml bottle holds about 29 servings, roughly a month, and the label says not to refrigerate it.
Can high-dose biotin affect blood tests?
Yes — biotin at this level can interfere with some laboratory tests, including certain thyroid and troponin tests. Tell your GP or the clinic that you take Ionic Biotin + Collagen before any blood test.
Is it vegan, and what is it sweetened with?
