Your questions, answered
What's in each serving?
Each 2½-dropper serving (about 2.5ml) provides 500mg organic cilantro (coriander) leaf and 250mg organic chlorella. The liquid base is vegetable glycerin and deionised water.
Does it actually remove heavy metals?
We can't say so: 'Heavy Metal Detox' is Planetary Herbals' product name, and neither cilantro nor chlorella has an authorised health claim in the UK. Think of it as a cilantro and chlorella liquid, not a treatment.
How often do I take it?
2½ droppers three times a day, shaking the bottle well first. You can add the drops to a little water or juice if you find the herbal taste strong.
How long will the 4 fl oz bottle last?
The 118ml bottle holds about 47 servings, so at three servings a day it lasts 15 to 16 days. At the full label amount, plan on two bottles a month.
Does it contain alcohol?
No alcohol is listed: the base of Planetary Herbals Cilantro Heavy Metal Detox is just vegetable glycerin and deionised water, which gives it a slightly sweet taste.
Can I use it if I'm pregnant or on medication?
Check first. The label says to consult a healthcare professional before use if you're pregnant, may become pregnant, are breastfeeding or take any prescription drug.
Planetary Herbals or Source Naturals Cilantro Metal Detox?
We stock both, and their labels give the same amounts per 2½ droppers: 500mg cilantro and 250mg chlorella, both organic, in a glycerin base. The choice comes down to brand and price.
