Can I use the PanOxyl bar on my body as well as my face?

Yes. The PanOxyl Acne Treatment Bar is made for face and body, so you can treat your chest, back and shoulders in the shower; its label use is simply 'for the treatment of acne'.

How do I use it?

Clean the skin, work the bar into a lather and cover the entire affected area with a thin layer, then rinse thoroughly and pat dry. Use it one to three times daily, starting with once a day to see how your skin copes.

Is 10% benzoyl peroxide too strong for my face?

It can be for some skin. Don't use it if your skin is very sensitive or you're sensitive to benzoyl peroxide, and remember the label notes irritation may be reduced by using it less often or at a lower concentration, such as the PanOxyl Acne Creamy Wash 4% we also sell.

Bar or PanOxyl Foaming Wash: they're both 10%?

Same 10% benzoyl peroxide, different format: the bar is solid, so it's easy to pack and covers large areas quickly, while the Foaming Wash is a liquid that's easier to measure out for the face. We also sell the two together as a bundle.

Will it bleach my towels?

It can. The label warns against contact with hair and dyed fabrics, which may be bleached, so rinse well and use white towels and flannels.

Can I use it with other acne treatments?

With care. Irritation and dryness are more likely if you use another topical acne medication at the same time, so if irritation occurs, use only one. Stop and ask a doctor if irritation becomes severe.

Is it safe in pregnancy, and do I need sunscreen?

Ask first: the label says to ask a health professional before use if you're pregnant or breastfeeding. Avoid unnecessary sun exposure and use a sunscreen while using the PanOxyl bar.
