What are the three things in OXY 3-in-1 Pads?
The jar lists them as unclogs pores, controls oil and retextures skin. The active ingredient is 2% salicylic acid, and the Drug Facts use is that it treats and helps prevent acne.
How do I use the pads?
Swipe one pad over the affected area to cleanse it and cover it with the medication, then throw the pad away; the label says not to leave a pad on the skin. Start once a day and build up to 2 or 3 times daily only if needed.
Should I test them on a small area first?
Yes — for the first 3 days the label suggests using OXY Maximum Action sparingly on a small affected area. If there's no discomfort, move on to the normal directions.
My skin is dry and flaky. What should I do?
Cut back: if dryness or peeling bothers you, the label says to drop to once a day or every other day. Dryness and irritation are more likely if you use another topical acne medication at the same time.
Can I use them with a benzoyl peroxide wash?
Only with care. These pads use salicylic acid, while our OXY 10 Maximum Strength Acne Cleanser is 10% benzoyl peroxide; if irritation occurs, the label says to use only one acne medication at a time.
How long does a jar of 90 pads last?
90 days at one pad a day, or 30 days at the maximum of three a day. Keep the lid tightly closed between uses, as the label directs.
Can I use them if I'm pregnant?
Ask first: the label says to ask a health professional before use if you're pregnant or breastfeeding. Keep the pads away from your eyes, lips and mouth, and flush with water if contact occurs.
