What's in a 5g serving?
19 vitamins and minerals plus 1.6g of chicory inulin, including 30µg vitamin D (600% RI), 80mg vitamin C, 10µg B12, 15mg zinc, 14mg iron, 108mg magnesium, 300mg potassium and 800µg vitamin A. The other B vitamins run from 143% to 1,364% of the reference intake.
How do I take VIT&MIN Powder?
Stir one 5g serving into 150ml of cold water or juice once a day, ideally with a meal; OstroVit says not to mix it with hot water. Measure with the scoop in the tub rather than guessing.
How long does the 150g tub last?
30 days at one 5g serving a day.
What do the vitamins and minerals do?
Vitamin C, vitamin D, zinc and B12 contribute to the normal function of the immune system, and vitamin C, iron, magnesium and vitamins B2, B6 and B12 contribute to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. Zinc also contributes to the maintenance of normal skin, hair and nails.
Who shouldn't take it?
It's for adults only: OstroVit says it isn't for children or pregnant or breastfeeding women. With 30µg vitamin D and 14mg iron per serving, don't add another multivitamin, and the label suggests a 25(OH)D blood test first.
What does it taste like, and is it sweetened?
The tub we stock is peach flavoured and sweetened with sucralose and acesulfame K, so VIT&MIN Powder makes a fruity drink rather than a bitter vitamin taste.
VIT&MIN Powder or Aqua Kick VIT&MIN 300g?
VIT&MIN Powder is a small 5g serving in 150ml, so it's a quick daily drink or an add-in. OstroVit Aqua Kick VIT&MIN 300g is a 10g scoop made up in about 1.5 litres of water to sip through the day.
