How do I mix OstroVit Isotonic?
Stir 10g (1.5 scoops) of OstroVit Isotonic into 300ml of water and drink it during training. One serving a day is the label amount, so the 500g tub makes 50 drinks.
What's in one serving?
6.1g of carbohydrate from glucose (25kcal), 120mg calcium, 56mg magnesium and 300mg potassium (15% of the NRV each), 80mg vitamin C, 1mg vitamin B6 and small amounts of BCAAs, L-carnitine tartrate and L-glutamine. Sodium depends on the flavour: 139mg in pear and 312mg in orange.
What do the vitamins and minerals do?
Magnesium contributes to electrolyte balance and normal muscle function, potassium contributes to normal muscle function, and vitamin C contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.
Does it contain sugar?
Yes, each serving has 6.1g of sugars from glucose, and it's also sweetened with sucralose and acesulfame K. If you want a drink with no sugar at all, an electrolyte concentrate is the better fit.
Why has my powder gone hard?
OstroVit Isotonic absorbs moisture strongly, and the label says clumps or a solid block don't mean it has lost its properties. Break it up again and keep the lid tightly closed.
Which flavours do you stock?
Lemon Mint, Orange and Pear. The serving and mixing are the same for all three, but mineral amounts, especially sodium, differ slightly, so check the panel on your tub.
Who shouldn't use it?
The label says it isn't for children or pregnant or breastfeeding women. It may contain milk, soya, peanuts, nuts, sesame, gluten, eggs, crustaceans and fish.
