How much B12 is in each lozenge?
1,000mcg of vitamin B12 as methylcobalamin, which is 40,000% of the UK reference intake of 2.5mcg. Only part of an oral dose is absorbed, which is why supplement strengths sit so far above the NRV.
How do I take the lozenges?
One NOW Methyl B-12 lozenge once or twice a day, chewed or held in the mouth until it dissolves. At one a day the tub of 100 lasts just over three months.
What does vitamin B12 do?
Vitamin B12 contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue, normal energy-yielding metabolism, normal red blood cell formation and the normal functioning of the nervous system.
Is it suitable for vegans?
Yes, NOW Methyl B-12 lozenges are labelled vegan, which suits plant-based diets where B12 is hard to get from food. They're sweetened with xylitol, stevia and monk fruit with natural flavours.
Is it safe around my dog?
Keep the tub out of reach of pets. The lozenges contain xylitol, and NOW's label warns that xylitol is harmful to pets.
Lozenge or tablet — what else do you stock?
