What is Hyland's Bioplasma used for?

Hyland's labels Bioplasma for the temporary relief of symptoms of colds, simple nervous tension, fatigue and headaches. The label states these uses are based on traditional homeopathic practice, not accepted medical evidence.

What's in each tablet?

All 12 classic cell salts: Calc Fluor, Calc Phos, Calc Sulph, Ferrum Phos, Kali Mur, Kali Phos, Kali Sulph, Mag Phos, Nat Mur, Nat Phos, Nat Sulph and Silicea, at 3X or 6X homeopathic potencies. The tablet base is lactose and acacia gum.

How do I take Bioplasma?

On the current 100 single-tablet-dose pack, adults and children 6 and over dissolve 1 tablet under the tongue 3 times a day. Older packs used a multi-tablet dose, so always follow the directions printed on the box you receive.

Is it suitable for vegans or if I avoid lactose?

No for vegans: the tablets are made with lactose, a milk sugar, although Hyland's says they contain no whey or casein. If you're very sensitive to lactose, check with a pharmacist before use.

Can children take it?

Children 6 and over take the same dose as adults on the current label, 1 tablet three times a day. The current pack gives no directions for under-6s, so ask a doctor or pharmacist first.

When should I stop and see a doctor?

Stop and ask a doctor if symptoms last more than 72 hours or get worse, if new symptoms appear, or if a sore throat is severe or comes with fever, headache, rash, nausea or vomiting. If you're pregnant or breastfeeding, ask a health professional before using Bioplasma.

Bioplasma or a single cell salt like Ferrum Phos?

Bioplasma puts all 12 cell salts in one tablet, while Hyland's Ferrum Phos, which we also sell, is a single cell salt at 30X in a 500-tablet bottle. Each has its own label directions, so take one product at a time as directed.
