What is Hyland's Restful Legs PM for?

Its label says it temporarily relieves occasional sleeplessness or disrupted sleep caused by an urge to jerk or move the legs, or by creeping, crawling, itching, twitching or tingling sensations in them. Hyland's states these uses are based on traditional homeopathic practice, not accepted medical evidence.

How do I take it at night?

Adults and children 12 and over dissolve 2–3 tablets under the tongue at bedtime, then every 4 hours during the night until relieved. Children aged 6 to under 12 take 1–2 tablets on the same schedule.

How is PM different from the regular Restful Legs Tablets?

Restful Legs PM adds Chamomilla 3X and Coffea Cruda 3X, which Hyland's lists for occasional sleeplessness, to the six leg ingredients in the regular formula. The regular Restful Legs Tablets, which we also sell, are taken every 4 hours for up to 6 doses at any time of day.

I've been diagnosed with restless legs syndrome. Can I use it?

Ask your doctor first: the label says to ask a doctor before use if you have Restless Leg Syndrome. Also stop and see a doctor if your symptoms last more than 7 days or get worse.

Is it a sleeping tablet?

No. Restful Legs PM contains no conventional sedative or antihistamine; its eight actives are homeopathic dilutions from 3X to 12X in a lactose and acacia gum tablet.

Is it suitable for vegans or if I avoid lactose?

No for vegans: each tablet is made with lactose, a milk sugar. If you're very sensitive to lactose, check with a pharmacist before use.

Can I take it if I'm pregnant?

Ask first: the label says to ask a doctor or health professional before use if you're pregnant or breastfeeding. Don't use more than directed, and keep Restful Legs PM out of reach of children.
