How many capsules a day, and how long does a bottle last?
Six capsules a day, per the label, so the 180-capsule bottle of FH PRO for Men is a 30-day supply. You can split them across meals if six at once is a lot.
How long should I take it?
Plan on at least three months: Fairhaven suggests starting at least three months before trying to conceive, which is roughly how long sperm take to develop. Carry on until pregnancy is confirmed, so budget for three or more bottles.
What's in a daily serving?
Six capsules provide 30mg zinc, 140mcg selenium, 2,000mg L-carnitine L-tartrate, 350mg L-arginine, 200mg CoQ10, 200mg N-acetyl cysteine and 10mg lycopene, alongside a full multivitamin. Zinc contributes to normal fertility and reproduction, and selenium contributes to normal spermatogenesis.
Do I still need a separate men's multivitamin?
Usually not — FH PRO for Men is a complete fertility multivitamin with vitamins A, C, D3 (30mcg), E, the B vitamins, folate as methylfolate, iodine and trace minerals. Check any other supplements you take so you don't double up on zinc or vitamin B6 (it already provides 30mg and 25mg).
FH PRO for Men or FertilAid for Men?
FertilAid for Men is the lighter three-capsule daily formula at a lower price. FH PRO for Men is the six-capsule formula with larger amounts of antioxidant nutrients such as 2,000mg L-carnitine and 200mg CoQ10; take one or the other, not both.
Can my partner and I take FH PRO together?
Yes — FH PRO for Women is the partner formula, with myo-inositol, iron and folate in place of the men's L-carnitine and L-arginine, and we also sell both as the FH PRO for Men & Women bundle. Each of you takes your own version; the men's formula contains no iron.
Is it vegetarian and allergen-friendly?
The capsules are vegetarian (cellulose), and the label says free from gluten, dairy, peanut, tree nut, fish, shellfish, soy, sesame and egg, plus artificial flavours, colours and sweeteners. The label also advises talking to your healthcare practitioner before use.
