What's in a serving of CountBoost?
Two capsules provide 500mg vitamin C, 15mg riboflavin (B2), 25mg niacinamide and 500mcg vitamin B12 (as methylcobalamin). They also contain 200mg D-ribose, 200mg maca root, 150mg ashwagandha, 150mg Asian ginseng, 100mg velvet bean extract, 30mg CoQ10 and 20mg reduced glutathione.
What do the vitamins in CountBoost do?
Vitamin C, riboflavin, niacin and vitamin B12 contribute to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue, and vitamin C and riboflavin contribute to the protection of cells from oxidative stress. The botanicals and CoQ10 have no authorised UK health claims, and no ingredient here is authorised to claim an effect on sperm count.
How do I take it, and how long does a bottle last?
Two capsules a day, split between meals, so the 60-capsule bottle lasts 30 days. Sperm take around three months to develop, so couples usually plan on at least three bottles before judging any change.
Do I need FertilAid for Men as well?
That's how Fairhaven designed it: the bottle says CountBoost is meant to be taken with FertilAid for Men, which supplies the zinc and selenium CountBoost doesn't contain. We sell all three Fairhaven men's formulas as the FertilAid for Men, MotilityBoost and CountBoost Combo Bundle.
CountBoost or MotilityBoost?
Both are add-ons to FertilAid for Men: CountBoost is built around vitamin C, maca, ashwagandha and ginseng, while MotilityBoost centres on L-arginine and L-carnitine. Each has 100mg velvet bean extract, 30mg CoQ10 and 500mcg B12, so those amounts double if you take both.
Is there anything to check before starting?
Yes — CountBoost is for adults only, and the label asks you to see a doctor first if you have a pre-existing medical condition. Speak to your GP or pharmacist if you take any medication, as the velvet bean extract is standardised to 15% L-dopa (about 15mg per serving) and the formula also contains ashwagandha and ginseng.
Is CountBoost vegetarian?
Yes — it comes in a cellulose vegetable capsule, and the other ingredients are rice flour, silica and rice bran lipid.
