FH PRO for Women 180 Caps

How many capsules a day?

Six capsules daily, per the label, so the 180-capsule bottle of FH PRO for Women lasts 30 days. Split them between breakfast and dinner if six in one go feels like a lot.

When should I start, and when do I stop?

Fairhaven recommends starting FH PRO for Women 3–6 months before trying to conceive, naturally or with assisted reproduction, and stopping once pregnancy is confirmed. At that point, move to a pregnancy supplement your midwife or GP recommends.

How much folate does it contain?

Each six-capsule serving has 1,360mcg DFE folate as L-methylfolate, equivalent to 800mcg folic acid. That's above the 400mcg folic acid a day the NHS advises when trying to conceive, and folate contributes to maternal tissue growth during pregnancy.

What else is in it?

Alongside a full multivitamin with 18mg iron, 150mcg iodine, 70mcg vitamin D3 and 30mg zinc, it provides 2,000mg myo-inositol, 50mg D-chiro-inositol, 300mg CoQ10, 100mg alpha lipoic acid, 50mg trans-resveratrol and 50mg N-acetyl cysteine. Zinc contributes to normal fertility and reproduction.

Can I take it with OvaBoost or another prenatal?

It's designed to be taken on its own: FH PRO for Women already includes the myo-inositol, CoQ10 and alpha lipoic acid found in OvaBoost, plus a complete multivitamin. Adding a second multivitamin would double up iron, zinc, vitamin A and vitamin D.

What should my partner take?

FH PRO for Men is the male counterpart, with 2,000mg L-carnitine, 140mcg selenium and 200mg CoQ10 in place of the inositols and iron; selenium contributes to normal spermatogenesis. We also sell both bottles together as the FH PRO for Men & Women bundle.

Is there anything to check before taking it?

Fairhaven advises speaking to your doctor first if you've been prescribed medication or a herbal supplement for depression or anxiety. The capsules are vegetarian (cellulose) and free from gluten, dairy, soy, egg, nuts, fish and shellfish.
