How many capsules should I take?
One capsule, ideally with a meal, up to three times a day. That makes the bottle last 30 days at three a day, 45 days at two or 90 days at one.
Why do people trying to conceive take NAC?
Fairhaven Health is a fertility brand and labels this NAC 'for men and women', so it often sits alongside other preconception supplements. NAC has no authorised health claim in the UK, so we can't say it improves fertility; ask your GP or fertility clinic whether it suits your plan.
Why does the bottle smell?
NAC is a sulphur-containing form of the amino acid cysteine, so a faint eggy smell when you open the bottle is normal and not a sign the capsules have gone off.
Can I take it if I'm pregnant, breastfeeding or on medication?
Check with your midwife, GP or pharmacist first. Fairhaven Health NAC is a general NAC supplement, not a prenatal vitamin.
Fairhaven Health NAC or Doctor's Best NAC Detox Regulators?
