How many tests do I get?
One — each Fairhaven Health BFP Pregnancy Test pouch holds a single sealed hCG test strip, which is why it's priced per strip. Order a few if you plan to retest over several days.
How do I use the strip?
Dip the strip into collected urine for at least 5 seconds, keeping the urine below the MAX line, then lay it on a flat surface and read the result at 10 minutes. Two lines mean positive, the control line alone means negative, and no control line means the test is invalid.
When is the best time to test?
For the most reliable result, test on or after the day your period is due, using first-morning urine. Testing earlier is possible, but the earlier you test the more likely you are to get a negative even if you are pregnant.
What does a very faint second line mean?
A test line you can see at the 10-minute read counts as a positive on the BFP pouch, however light it is. If you're unsure, retest with first-morning urine in 48 hours, and ignore any line that only appears long after the read time.
What should I do after a positive result?
Contact your GP or a midwife to book in; a home test detects the pregnancy hormone hCG but can't tell you anything else about the pregnancy. If you keep getting negatives and your period still hasn't come, speak to your GP.
