What's in Flexer?
The 15g daily portion gives 7,000mg SOLUGEL collagen types I and II plus 500mg collagen type II, 750mg MSM, 500mg glucosamine sulphate, 500mg L-proline, 150mg chondroitin sulphate and 20mg hyaluronic acid. It also adds 60mg vitamin C, 120mg calcium, 58mg magnesium and 54mg omega-3 from fish oil.
How do I take it?
Mix one 7.5g scoop with 100ml of water and drink it twice a day, ideally 30 minutes before meals. Cold water and a shaker give the smoothest mango-orange drink.
How long does the 225g jar last?
15 days at the recommended two scoops a day. The '30 servings' on the front counts single 7.5g scoops, but the daily portion is two.
What does Flexer do for joints?
The authorised claims come from the vitamins and minerals: vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal function of cartilage and bones, calcium is needed for the maintenance of normal bones, and magnesium contributes to normal muscle function. Collagen, glucosamine, chondroitin and MSM have no authorised health claims.
Is it suitable for vegetarians or a fish allergy?
No — Essensey Flexer contains collagen, gelatine and fish oil microcapsules, so it isn't vegetarian or suitable if you're allergic to fish. It may also contain milk, soy, gluten and peanuts.
Flexer or ESSENSEY Collagen + capsules?
Flexer is the high-dose drink, with 7,500mg collagen a day plus glucosamine, MSM and chondroitin. ESSENSEY Collagen +, which we also stock, gives 1,000mg collagen and vitamin C in two capsules, so it suits people who'd rather swallow than mix.
Who shouldn't take it?
The label says children and pregnant or nursing women must not take Flexer. It's sweetened with sucralose, and an opened jar should be used within 3 months.
