How much magnesium is in a scoop?
One 3.5g scoop of Ultra Lyte Magnesium Glycinate Powder gives 1,000mg magnesium glycinate, providing 200mg of elemental magnesium, which is 53% of the NRV. The 168g tub holds 48 scoops.
How do I take it?
Mix one scoop into 200 to 300ml of water or your favourite drink, at any time of day. The label also offers an optional evening routine of 1 or 2 scoops before bed; don't go beyond what the label states.
What does the magnesium do?
Magnesium contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue, normal psychological function, normal muscle function and the normal functioning of the nervous system. Here it comes as glycinate, magnesium bound to the amino acid glycine.
What's it sweetened and coloured with?
Stevia extract and natural orange flavour, with black carrot concentrate for colour and no added sugar. The label also lists a trace mineral complex (magnesium chloride, sodium, potassium, sulphate), citric acid, acacia fibre and silica.
Is it vegan and allergen-free?
Yes. The Ultra Lyte tub carries vegan, gluten-free and no-added-sugar marks and states no known allergens.
Can magnesium upset my stomach?
Large amounts of magnesium can loosen stools, so stick to the label serving and don't exceed the recommended daily dose. If you take prescription medicines, check with a pharmacist before starting.
