How much magnesium is in one scoop?
One 3.5g scoop gives 1,000mg of magnesium glycinate, which provides 200mg of elemental magnesium, 53% of the NRV. The 168g tub holds 48 scoops.
How do I make it up?
Stir one scoop into 200 to 300ml of water, still or sparkling, and the grape flavour comes through best chilled. Don't go beyond the amount on the Ultra Lyte label, however you split it across the day.
Is it a good evening drink?
Plenty of people make it their evening drink instead of a sugary squash. Magnesium contributes to normal psychological function, the normal functioning of the nervous system and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.
What is magnesium glycinate?
Magnesium bound to glycine, an amino acid. It's the same form as in Ultra Lyte Magnesium Glycinate capsules, so the powder simply lets you drink it rather than swallow tablets.
What else is in the grape tub?
Ultra Lyte adds its ConcenTrace trace mineral complex, which supplies small amounts of potassium, sodium and other minerals, and the grape version is naturally flavoured. The powder is certified vegan and gluten-free.
Can magnesium upset my stomach?
Large amounts can loosen stools, so keep to one scoop a day unless the label says otherwise. If you take prescription medicines such as antibiotics, ask a pharmacist about timing.
