How much black seed oil is in each softgel?
500 mg of cold-pressed black cumin seed oil (Nigella sativa) per softgel. The label serving is three softgels, giving 1,500 mg a day.
How should I take it, and how long does the bottle last?
One softgel three times a day with food, as Snap directs. The 90 softgels last 30 days at that rate.
What is black seed oil?
It's the oil pressed from Nigella sativa seeds, used in Middle Eastern, North African and South Asian cooking and traditional use for centuries. It has no authorised health claims in the UK, so we describe what's in Snap Black Seed Oil rather than what it does.
Are the softgels vegan?
Yes — the shell is made from tapioca starch, vegetable glycerin and water, with no gelatine. Snap lists it as vegan, gluten-free, non-GMO and free of the top nine allergens.
Does it give me omega-3?
Not in a meaningful way: the label lists only black cumin seed oil and gives no fatty-acid breakdown, and black seed oil is naturally rich in omega-6 linoleic acid rather than omega-3. For EPA and DHA, a fish oil such as California Gold Nutrition Omega 800, which we also stock, is the better fit.
Who should check before taking it?
Snap's label asks pregnant or nursing women, under-18s and anyone with a medical condition to speak to a doctor first, and to stop if any reaction occurs. Keep the bottle away from heat, light and humidity, but don't refrigerate it.
