Do they really wash off, or am I redecorating my bathroom permanently?
On tub walls and tiles in good condition, drawings wash away with soap and water - clean them off right after the bath rather than leaving art overnight. Crayola does advise testing a small area first: older tubs, vinyl or fibreglass surrounds and unsealed grout can stain, so a ten-second patch test saves regret.
Are they safe if my toddler decides to taste one?
They're nontoxic and certified AP, conforming to the ASTM F963 toy safety standard, and pitched for ages 3 and up with adult supervision recommended. As with all crayons, they're art supplies rather than snacks - supervision is part of the fun anyway.
Any house rules to keep it fun?
Three: crayons stay in the bathroom (they can stain wood, wallpaper and painted surfaces), art gets washed off as part of the bath-time wind-down, and the artist helps with the washing - which small children mysteriously consider a treat.
