Your questions, answered
How do I use it?
Adults and children 12 years and older: Take 2 tablets 3 times daily with meals for up to 2 days. Ensure sufficient water intake while using this product. Do not exceed the recommended dosage. Consult a healthcare professional if you require use beyond 2 days or for children under 12.
Anything I should know?
Do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding without medical advice. If any adverse effects occur, discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional. Keep out of reach of children. In case of accidental overdose, seek immediate medical attention.
What makes it stand out?
Soothe The Burn - targets discomfort where you need it.
That burning, can't-stop-needing-the-loo feeling has started and I can't see a doctor until tomorrow - what is this for?
Exactly that gap. AZO Maximum Strength is a urinary analgesic - per the US label it relieves the pain, burning, urgency and frequency of urinary discomfort while you arrange proper care. It numbs the misery; it does not treat the underlying infection itself.
So it won't clear a UTI on its own?
No - phenazopyridine is symptom relief only, and the US label limits use to two days before you must see a doctor. If you suspect a UTI, treat AZO as the bridge that makes the wait bearable, not the fix. See a GP or pharmacist promptly.
Why has my urine turned bright orange?!
That's phenazopyridine's signature and it's expected - the US label warns the dye can turn urine reddish-orange and may stain contact lenses and fabrics while you're taking it. It fades after you stop.
How do I take it?
With or after food, at the labelled dose, for no more than the labelled two days - that limit is a hard stop, not a suggestion. Follow the US label and ask a pharmacist if unsure, especially if you're pregnant or have kidney problems.
Individual results may vary.
