How much EPA and DHA does Super Omega-3 provide?
Trec's daily portion of 4 capsules gives 4,000mg of fish oil with 720mg EPA and 480mg DHA, plus 14.7mg vitamin E (123% of the reference intake). Each capsule holds 1,000mg of fish oil.
How many capsules a day, and how long does a tub last?
Four capsules a day, taken as two servings of two with water. At that rate the 60-capsule tub lasts 15 days and the 120-capsule tub lasts 30 days.
What are the authorised benefits?
EPA and DHA contribute to the normal function of the heart, DHA contributes to the maintenance of normal brain function and normal vision, and vitamin E contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress. Super Omega-3's full daily portion is well above the 250mg those omega-3 claims require.
Can I take just 2 capsules a day?
You can: two capsules give 360mg EPA and 240mg DHA, which is still more than the 250mg of EPA plus DHA the heart claim needs. The full four capsules are needed for the 250mg of DHA linked to the brain and vision claims.
Is it suitable for vegetarians or anyone with a fish allergy?
No — the oil is fish oil in a gelatin capsule, so Super Omega-3 isn't vegetarian and isn't for anyone allergic to fish.
Will it repeat on me?
Taking the capsules with meals and splitting them into a morning and an evening serving usually keeps fishy burps away. Store the tub somewhere cool and dry with the lid closed.
60 or 120 capsules?
