How much rhodiola is in each capsule?
100mg of Rhodiola rosea root extract, standardised to 3% rosavins (3mg) and 1% salidroside (1mg). Rhodiola has no authorised health claims in the UK, so we stick to the dose.
How do I take it, and how long does a tub last?
One capsule a day with a meal and about 300ml of water. The 90 capsules of Trec Rhodiola Rosea last three months.
Why is the capsule 500mg if the extract is 100mg?
The extract makes up about 20% of the contents; the rest is maltodextrin filler plus a small amount of anti-caking agent, according to Polish copies of the label. The amount that matters is the 100mg of standardised extract.
Who shouldn't take it?
The label says it isn't suitable for children or for pregnant or breastfeeding women. If you take any medication or other supplements, check with your GP or pharmacist first.
Is it vegan?
Current Polish label copies list a hypromellose (plant cellulose) capsule, but some older versions used gelatine with colours. Check the ingredients on your tub if that matters to you.
Trec Rhodiola, Essensey Rhodiola or Korean Ginseng?
Essensey Rhodiola Rosea, which we also list, comes from the same Polish maker and is described with the same 100mg extract at 3% rosavins and 1% salidroside. Trec Korean Ginseng is a different herb altogether, so pick it if ginseng is what you're after.
