What's in Multivitamin For Women besides vitamins?
Alongside vitamins A, C, D, E and eight B vitamins including biotin and folic acid, the formula adds the extras named on the tub: fish collagen peptides, green tea extract, hyaluronic acid and coenzyme Q10, plus garcinia extract, CLA and L-carnitine.
How many capsules a day?
Two: one capsule with water twice a day, preferably with meals. That makes the 90-capsule tub of Trec Multivitamin For Women last 45 days.
Why does the label carry green tea warnings?
Because of the green tea extract (55% EGCG), Trec says not to take it on an empty stomach, not to use other green tea products on the same day, and not to use it for more than 3 months in a row.
What can the vitamins claim to do?
Vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal function of skin, biotin and riboflavin contribute to the maintenance of normal skin, and vitamins B6 and B12 contribute to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. The collagen, hyaluronic acid and other extras have no authorised claims.
Is it suitable for vegetarians?
No — the collagen peptides come from fish, so it isn't suitable if you avoid fish. The label also warns it may contain traces of milk, soy, gluten and nuts.
Can I take it while pregnant?
No — the label says Multivitamin For Women isn't intended for pregnant or breastfeeding women or for children. A dedicated pregnancy multivitamin is the right choice then.
