How many capsules a day?
Two: one capsule twice a day with a meal and about 300ml of water. That makes the 90-capsule tub a 45-day supply, and the label says not to take it for longer than 3 months at a time.
What's in a 2-capsule serving?
80mg vitamin C (100% of the reference intake), half the reference intake of vitamins A, D, E, B1, B2, niacin, pantothenic acid, B6, B12, folic acid and biotin, 5mg zinc and 100mg magnesium. Trec Multivitamin For Men adds 250mg L-arginine, 100mg Korean ginseng extract (10% ginsenosides), 100mg D-aspartic acid and 100mg taurine.
Why are most vitamins at 50% rather than 100%?
Trec set most of them at half the reference intake so the capsules top up what you eat rather than replace it. Vitamin C is the exception at 100%.
What can the vitamins and minerals claim to do?
Vitamins B6 and B12 contribute to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue, vitamin C and zinc to the normal function of the immune system, and zinc to the maintenance of normal testosterone levels in the blood. The ginseng, L-arginine, D-aspartic acid and taurine have no authorised health claims.
Who should check before taking it?
The label asks you to talk to a doctor or pharmacist first if you take medication for diabetes or blood pressure. It isn't for under-18s, and it may contain traces of milk, soy, gluten, fish, molluscs and peanuts.
Is the capsule vegetarian?
Polish retailer copies of the label list a hypromellose (plant cellulose) capsule rather than gelatine. The vitamin D source isn't stated, so we don't describe Multivitamin For Men as vegan.
Multivitamin For Men or Trec Multipack?
Trec Multipack, which we also stock, is the unisex athlete's multi with a full mineral complex including iron, iodine and selenium. Multivitamin For Men has fewer minerals but adds ginseng, L-arginine, D-aspartic acid and taurine, so choose one rather than taking both.
