How much CoQ10 is in each capsule?
Each Fairhaven Health CoQ10 capsule holds 100 mg of coenzyme Q10, as ubiquinone, in a cellulose vegetarian shell. The other ingredients are cellulose, ascorbyl palmitate and silica.
How do I take it, and how long does the bottle last?
One capsule twice a day, preferably with food. At two a day the 60-capsule bottle is a one-month supply, which matches the '1-month supply' on the new label.
Why take it with food?
CoQ10 is fat-soluble, so it's usually taken with a meal that contains some fat. Taking one capsule at breakfast and one at dinner is easy to remember.
What does CoQ10 do?
CoQ10 is a compound the body makes and uses in cells to produce energy. There's no authorised health claim for CoQ10 supplements in the UK, so we can't promise effects on energy, fertility or egg and sperm quality.
Is it ubiquinone or ubiquinol?
Fairhaven Health CoQ10 is ubiquinone, the standard form of CoQ10, which the body converts to ubiquinol as needed. Ubiquinol supplements are the pre-converted form and usually cost more.
Can I take it with FH PRO?
Check the totals first: FH PRO for Men already gives 200 mg of CoQ10 in six capsules and FH PRO for Women 300 mg, so adding this bottle doubles up. If nothing else in your routine contains CoQ10, two of these capsules add 200 mg a day.
Who should check before taking it?
Ask your GP or pharmacist first if you take medication, especially blood thinners such as warfarin or blood-pressure tablets, or if you're pregnant. The label asks you to consult a healthcare practitioner before use.
