Is IsoFresh a capsule I swallow or insert?
You swallow it. IsoFresh is an oral capsule, taken by mouth once a day, not a pessary. The tub of 30 is a one-month supply.
Which strains are in IsoFresh?
Five: Lactobacillus rhamnosus, Lactobacillus reuteri, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Bifidobacterium longum and Bifidobacterium lactis, in a 74mg blend providing 10 billion CFU per capsule. Fairhaven Health doesn't list the amount of each strain.
Will it treat thrush or BV?
No — IsoFresh is a food supplement, not a treatment, and live cultures have no authorised health claims in the UK. If you have unusual discharge, odour, itching or pain, see your GP, a sexual health clinic or a pharmacist first.
Is it suitable if I avoid dairy?
No — the capsule shell is vegetable-based (hypromellose and gellan gum), but the label says IsoFresh contains milk. Fairhaven says it's made without gluten or soy.
